My name is Robert Gregson  and was the original founder member  of the ACOGB
Although I  have now passed this on to others  due to my many  other commitments.

 I have been collecting autographs off and on since the early 1970's, but took it more serious when I started the ACOGB  club in about 1996.
My main commitment at the moment is  meeting many celebrities! details of which appear in the forum regularly. I have met some big name stars such as Stephen Segal and Claude  Van Damme, along with UK stars like Tom Jones.
I normally meet about 200 celebs a year from all walks of life and enjoy having my photo with them as well as gaining their autographs.

The aim of the ACOGB  when I first started it  was to show others how to collect, and warn people about fakes, this has lead me to making  many friends from the autograph world, and feel as though this club helps many people,

I specialise in a few subjects mainly UK comedy stars but also have started checking up on Kylie signatures as there are always fakes around from big star names. 

Autographs can be a fun subject not only because you meet the person, but it makes for a good talking point when people see your collections, these do have value but true collectors only sell when they have too, and keep most of what they have for their own use. I normally only sell if I have spares or if my collection has reached breaking point! Having just down sized from 4,000 to about 1,000 life if better and most of what I get now is not in the mail, however, there's always a good selection to collect but a lot of stars today are aware of  ebay and not all sign in the post.and if they do its a good chance its a secretarial signature.
